Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Al-Bukhari is a collection of hadith from a Central Asian Sunni Muslim scholar named Imam Al Bukhari (b.194/810 - d.256/870). Sahih Al-Bukhari's real name is Al-Jami' Al-Musnad Al-Sahih Al-Mukhtasar Min 'Umur-i Rasul Allah (s) Wa Sunnah Wa 'Ayyamih which is known as Saheeh Al-Bukhari has been written by Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail Bukhari over a period of sixteen years with great diligence and hard work. This book has a special status among the Ahl as-Sunnah and ranks first among the six Ummahatul-Kitab (Sihah Sitta) in their hadith. Ahl-e-Sunnat scholars hold Sahih Bukhari in high esteem and all Ahl-e-Sunnat agree that the most authentic book after the Qur'an is Sahih Bukhari and then Sahih Muslim. Similarly, Sahih Bukhari is also counted in Kitab al-Jawami, that is, a book that contains all the chapters of beliefs, rules, commentary, history, asceticism, and etiquette in its art of hadith.

صحیح بخاری یا صحیح البخاری ایک وسطی ایشیائی سنی مسلمان اسکالر کی حدیث کا مجموعہ ہے جس کا نام امام بخاری ہے۔  صحیح البخاری کا اصل نام الجامع المسند الصحیح المختصر من عمور رسول اللہ (ص) و سنت وآیامیہ ہے جسے صحیح بخاری کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے

امام محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری نے صحیح بخاری کو سولہ سال کے عرصے میں بڑی محنت سے لکھا تھا۔ یہ کتاب اہل سنت کے درمیان ایک خاص حیثیت رکھتی ہے اور ان کی حدیث میں چھ امہات الکتاب (سہہ ستہ) میں پہلے نمبر پر ہے۔ اہل سنت کے علماء صحیح بخاری کو بہت عزت دیتے ہیں اور تمام اہلسنت اس بات پر متفق ہیں کہ قرآن کے بعد سب سے مستند کتاب صحیح بخاری اور پھر صحیح مسلم ہے۔ اسی طرح صحیح بخاری بھی کتاب الجوامی میں شمار ہوتی ہے، یعنی ایک ایسی کتاب جس میں اس کے فنِ حدیث میں عقائد ، قواعد ، تفسیر ، تاریخ ، سنت اور آداب کے تمام ابواب شامل ہیں۔
