PROPHECY ABOUT PROPHET MUHAMMAD IN YAJURVEDA

The Yajurveda (yajus meaning "worship", and veda meaning "knowledge") is the Veda primarily of prose mantras for worship rituals. Yajurveda is one of the four Vedas, and one of the scriptures (religious book) of Hinduism. The exact century of Yajurveda's composition is unknown, and estimated by Witzel to be between 1200 to 800 BCE, contemporaneous with Samaveda and Atharvaveda. The Atharvaveda is composed in Vedic Sanskrit language, and it is a collection of 40 chapters (adhyayas) with about 1,975 verses (mantras).

There are many prophecies about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the hindu religious book Yajurveda, one of them is mentioned in Yajurveda: Chapter (adhyay) 20, Verse (mantra) 37.

Mantra in Devnagari ( मंत्र देवनागरी ):

इन्द्रायेन्दु" सरस्वती नराशंसेन नग्रहुम् ‌|

अधातामश्विना मधु भेषज॑ भिषजा सुते॥

Mantra in Roman/Latin Sanskrit:

indrāyendu" sarasvatī narāśaṃsena nagrahum ‌|

adhātāmaśvinā madhu bheṣaja̍ bhiṣajā sute ||

Commentator: Devichand

Bhavarth: He, who is praised by the public, is the discoverer of different objects, is the master of just behaviour, is fearless, maintains the vitality of his body, is engaged in agriculture with oxen, is full of knowledge, is wealthy with gold, is extremely wise, and performs yajna, is fit for us to seek shelter under.

جس کی عوام (لوگوں) میں بہت زیادہ تعریف کی جاتی ہے، وہ مختلف چیزوں (علوم) کا کھوج کرنے والا ہے، انصاف پسند سلوک کا مالک ہے، نڈر(بہادر) ہے، وہ اپنے جسم کی (روحانی) طاقت کو قائم رکھتا ہے۔ بیلوں کے ساتھ کھیتی باڑی میں مصروف ہے۔ علم سے بھرا ہوا ہے۔ وہ خزانوں کا مالک ہے، نہایت عقلمند ہے اور وہ یجنا (عبادت) کرتا ہے۔ ہمیں اُسے تلاش کرکے اُس کی پیروی  (اُس کے بتائے ہوئے راستے) پر چلنا چاہیے۔

 

Hindi Translation:  Pdarth Anvay Bhasha

हे मनुष्यो। (नराशंसः) जो मनुष्यों से प्रशंसा किया जाता (यज्ञस्य) सत्य व्यवहार के (धाम) स्थान का और (प्रति, मिमानः) अनेक उत्तम पदार्थों का निर्माण करनेहारा (शूरु) सब ओर से निर्भय (तनूनपात्‌) जो शरीर का पात न करनेहारा (गोभिः) गाय और बैलों से (वपावान्‌) जिससे क्षेत्र बोये जाते हैं, उस प्रशंसित उत्तम क्रिया से युक्त (मधुना) मधुरादि रस से (समञन्‌) प्रकट करता हुआ (हिरण्यैः) सुवर्णादि पदार्थों से (चन्द्री) बहुत सुवर्णवान्‌ (प्रचेताः) उत्तम प्रज्ञायुक्त विद्वान्‌ (प्रति, यजति) यज्ञ करता कराता है, सो हमारे आश्रय के योग्य है०३७० यजुर्वे दभाष्ये १९४६
